The river is 10 mins away where there is also a river 'beach' where children can play in the sand in the water. Kayacs, e-boats and other vessels can be hired here for a fun day out on the water.

Cycle through the villages or take a trip to the islands (Ile de Re and Ile D'Oleron are 45 minutes away) where there are dedicated cycle routes, you can hire bikes too!

Play Golf 5 minutes away at La vlade

La Rochelle

Visit beautiful La Rochelle, offering history and charm. The aquarium here is one of the best in Europe

Ile de Re 45 minutes from the villa is the most famous of the local islands. Superb beach cycle routes (you can also hire from here) make it a fun filled day out.

Ile D'Oleron Has many beaches and cycle tracks. The chateaux D'Oleron area has lovely small independent shops. Plenty of sea food restaurants to choose from - local delicacy here is oysters.

Royan is 30 minutes away from the Villa offering many beaches, water sports, harbour, shopping with carousel and many seaside restaurants
